At least 10 people were killed in explosions in two cities in Pakistan. According to local police, the violence does not seem to be related to protests by Islamists against the screening of the defamation of the Prophet Muhammad and Islam. In the commercial capital of Pakistan, Karachi, seven people were killed and 20 injured when two bombs planted in a car and a motorcycle exploded in the city market. The market is near the U.S. consulate jean marc pastor or an area frequented by foreigners. In the western city of Quetta, Pakistan, three people died and nine were injured when a bomb hit a bus carrying pilgrims from Iran, police said. Sectarian violence is common in Quetta. In Pakistan, about 2,000 people protested against the film mocking the Prophet Mohammad in Lahore, in the east, but also in the border town of Cham. Pakistan is a country with a population of 180 million people, most of whom are Muslims.
